Casagaía Heritage

Casagaía was founded by award-winning travel writer Maya Boyd in 2020. For over a decade Maya has written about Ibiza and Formentera for titles including Condé Nast Traveller, The Telegraph and House & Garden. She has also written two books about Ibiza; Ibiza Bohemia, the best-selling coffee-table published by Assouline, and Romano: Ibiza Summer Houses, published by Replica.

Maya has a long history with the island. She grew up on sun-soaked tales of Ibiza told by her father, one of the first hippies to arrive in Ibiza in the late 1960s. Maya’s teenage holidays turned into summers working for the fabled Café Mambo and she returned to live in Ibiza in 2009, when she became the author of British Vogue’s much-loved Ibiza Blog. Maya went on to be the editor of the legendary Pacha magazine until its closure, during which time she met and married her husband in Ibiza.

Casagaía is Maya’s interpretation of the authentic, timeless allure of Ibiza. Hand-painted motifs reflect the island’s most iconic locations, from the Dalt Vila skyline to the mystical rock of Es Vedra; from the classic outline of a whitewashed finca to a jagged arc of fisherman’s huts and the silhouette of a traditional fishing boat. A luxurious, purposeful collection of table linens, bags, beachwear and home accessories, Casagaía is an elevated souvenir of Balearic living.
